Our Appleton School Scholarship is led by Academy coach Rob Polkinghorn

The appointment of Robert Polkinghorn as our Head Scholars Coach confirms Future In Football's spot as the place to be for players aged 16-18. Appointed in the summer of 2015, Rob has a wealth of experience both playing and caching at an elite level locally and internationally.
The Venue
One of the leading schools in Essex, The Appleton School is home to a 3 grass pitches used for training and home games. The school also has an outstanding report from ofsted and an excellent record in academic attainment, with it’s numerous A-Levels and sport-related BTEC’s available to all Scholarship players.
The program involves students internally, externally and from Australia.
Each player is kitted out in Nike kit and have access to premier league
level equipment to ensure their training is of the highest quality.
The students have their lectures in the morning and then train in the
afternoons after lunch, with match days on a Wednesday every week.
Thursday's are a cool down day where they come in first thing and have
stretching sessions/yoga or in the school swimming pool to recover
before their lectures with a light training session in the afternoon.

Every day there are different elements of training the students endure
whether it be conditioning, technical, tactical or performance analysis.

The Future in Football Academy offers students the opportunity to train
like a pro with professional academy coaches whilst getting a high
standard education and money can't buy experiences to aid them in their
next step in football and sport.
Places are still available, each student will be interviewed and assessed
in a football match environment.
